Specialist Environmental Standards Certified Professional (S-ESCP)

Overview

Environmental Standards Professionals are a group of diverse environmental and sustainability professionals. Among them are environmental scientists, technicians, engineers, biologists, auditors, managers, consultants, and executives – all of whom hold essential, specialized knowledge in the environmental sector.

The objectives of the Specialist Environmental Standards Certified Professional (S-ESCP) Scheme are to:

  1. Assess, recognize, and hold people accountable as proficient and ethical environmental standards practitioners; and
  2. Assure governments, industry, educational institutions, and the community of the professional standing of the Specialist Environmental Standards Certified Professional (S-ESCP) Scheme
  • Must have been admitted to Associate Specialist Environmental Standards Certified Professional status (A-ESCP) with 3 years’ experience and at least 1 re- certification in addition to:
  • Proven experience and judgment on thematic specialist track
  • Evidence of two (2) independently completed studies in one thematic specialist track.
  • Deep technical knowledge on thematic specialist track
  • Ability to make informed and sound judgement.

To be certified, candidates must write Certification exams (or be interviewed).
